Good morning Mack! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours this week! Haven't read much about him since the draft, but where do you see Kumar Rocker going in this year's draft?

Morning Jon.

Thanks and gobble gobble back at you and your family.

I think there will be a little punishment handed out to the young man and his agent here.

Top prospects going down for TJS didn't fall as far as Rocker might.

Tell you one thing about the Cohen Mets ... they wouldn't have offered him 6mil to sign if they thought the meds wouldn't work out here.

Boras might have got his first, AND LAST, taste of how Cohen operates.

Right now.

Mid 2nd round

Nice work, Mack.........I don't follow the "kids" as much, at least until they are part of the Mets' system.

However, I hope that we don't sign any QO free agents this year and that we keep all of our picks (something like six picks in the first three rounds). It is an excellent opportunity for the new regime to stock pile some talent for our minor leagues.

I would love to see an emphasis on pitching and the outfield.

I also hope that Billy Eppler makes player development a huge focus......I am tired of seeing our prospects come up and lack a basic skill, like Pete's crappy defense (it has gotten a bit better) or Mauricio's issue with errors, etc.

I see teams like Atlanta and the Dodgers who have a literal assembly line of young talent that comes up and plays the game the right way. Drafting is important, but so is developing the kids once they are in the system.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Mack.

Hello Mack, and my regards for a happy Thanksgiving as well. Call me weird, but if Drew Jones really is a available, you have to take him. Look at the Braves, who would you rather have Ronald Acuna or Max Freid? I’m taking Jones and see if one of the two lefties makes it to #14.

As for Rocker, if he’s available in round 2, do you take him? Think he will fall to end of Round 2 and the QO received draft picks? When running a business, you can’t take things personally. If this kid is available in the second round, unless I really liked someone better, I have to take him. At the end of the second round, I can’t let him pass. He will be dominant again when he’s healthy.

The guy from Prospects Live was right, the Mets fumbled the draft quite possibly due to their arrogance that there was no way Rocker wasn’t going to be signed. An amateurish mistake, but after all, even under the Coupons all the prospects got signed.

I might have made a mistake passing on Druw.

As for Rocker, I don't expect the Mets to draft a Boras client for quite awhile.

Busy day, just getting to this fine breakdown. Best player available is right Weneed the best players.

That would be something if we drafted two first rounders with Brock as a first name.
