I posted this in response to a Mack article this morning.
I thought that it deserved to be ii its own separate mini article, to highlight the last 6 weeks of the exploits of former 11th rounder Rowdey Jordan.
I’ll just say it…
Rowdey had been awful up to May 25.
Hitting .135 in April, .194 on May 25.
Since then, awesome:
37 for 117 (.316), 21 walks, 15 XBH.
Over a .400 OBP after April - he simply had an ice cold April in ice cold Binghamton.
12 steals, in half a season, switch hitter.
So…
He should be promptly promoted to AAA, as he could be a Mets 2024 outfield candidate.
Excellent defense, too, even at 2nd base.
The next Jeff McNeil, maybe?
