Hector Pellot returned to his old position (2B) and his old batting slot (lead-off), and he delivered with a hit with a run scored, but it was Greg Veloz who bebefited the most. Veloz batted eighth as the DH and went 305, raising his batting average to .218.

"Richie" Havens belted his 7th home run of the season, raising his stats to .252/.367/.496/.863... oh, did I mention it was a gradn slam?

But the big star from the afternoon game was SP Jenry Mejia, who pitched 6.0 innings of zero earned run ball, lowering his ERA to 1.93. I've got Mejia as the 2nd top Mets prospect, behind Brad Holt, now that Jonathan Niese has left the middle school.
