For Immediate Release
The Binghamton Mets are proud to announce its first annual B-Mets Holiday Jersey Auction to benefit Broome County Toys for Tots Saturday, December 11 at 5 PM in front of JCPenney at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City. Registration for the live auction will begin at 4:30 PM. The jerseys up for auction are the B-Mets, sleeveless white tops. Net proceeds from the jerseys will be donated to Toys for Tots.
“Broome County Toys for Tots is a terrific charity that provides for needy children around the Southern Tier during the holiday season,” B-Mets General Manager Jim Weed said. “We are proud to partner with them.”
The mission of Toys for Tots is to collect new, unwrapped toys to distribute to children in need within the community. Broome County Toys for Tots has been operated by the Binghamton Police Department with the assistance of the Endicott, Johnson City and Vestal police departments for over 42 years. Combined these departments serve almost 3,000 Broome County children each year.
Shoppers are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys at the B-Mets Team Store in the Oakdale Mall. All who donate a toy, will receive 20 percent off any one item in the B-Mets Team Store.
