Developing story...
New York Mets free agent shortstop Jose Reyes has visited the Marlins, and toured the nearly completed ballpark. Further, reporter Jorge Sedano of 790-AM The Ticket says a source tells him that Reyes and Marlins are “almost a done deal.”

Don't think so. Jose's agent will steer him in the right direction, meaning he will put the offer out there to see if other teams can match or better the contract. Jose will probably wind up in Florida (makes sense for him), but not for at least another several weeks. I would be shocked if the purported rumor is accurate.
Who says that already hasn't happened? He might've gotten the best offer already. I couldn't care less that he's leaving the Mets. I really believe the Mets need to get away from injury prone players. I just hoped it wasnt Miami for the simple fact, that I hoped for TWO first round picks. If he signs with them, their pick is protected, and they'll get a supp first round pick and the Marlins second round pick. That blows...but i'm sure the FO will still make the most of it.
The Natural is correct. I HIGHLY doubt this will happen TODAY. I think that Jose's agent would want to try to drive the price up.
HOWEVER
Jose was shooting for a number and might have gotten it
He might really want to play with Hanley Ramirez
He might not want the media attention ALL WINTER
