Mack's Mets #23 organizational prospect is......
#23 OF Travis Taijeron
Bats: R Throws: R

For a team that was so short of OF prospect depth a year ago, the Mets system is sure starting to looking attractive. Taijeron is one of those blue collar college type guys, much like Muno, Verrett, Pill, and Mazzoni, that Sandy drafted in 2011 and, like the rest of them, Taijeron has produced at every level he has played at. Obviously the calling here is his power. He hit 12 HR in 64 games in the South Atlantic League last season, which is very tough to hit in. After being promoted to Binghamton recently he already has 5 HR in 13 games there too. He indeed has his flaws, with a K rate above 25%, but if he can keep up this power and carry it into MLB games we could have ourselves a 30 HR guy in RF. At worst he'll at least develop in a useful 4th or 5th OF.

ALL of Travis' home runs have come from raw power.
Mets coaches are working on him every day, trying to tweak his swing and teach him patience.
You can teach that kind of stuff, but you can't teach power mixed with bat speed. This is a blossoming prospect that you need to keep your eyes on.
Could be something here.
I've been watching him since last year. Deffinelty a rising prospect. From what I hear he reminds me a bit of Sean Ratclif, it's a real shame what happened to him.
Taijeron has a huge opportunity right now.
He is in Binghamton to cover Vaughn while he is on the DL for his elbow strain. However by the time Vaughn gets back, Puello will be in AAA.
So this is Taijeron's opportunity to show his value to the organization. He will start every game in Bingo from here on out and if he continues to play well, he'll find himself with Vaughn in Las Vegas next year with an opportunity to contribute to the big league club in 2014.
Even if he falters he'll just repeat Binghamton and be back on his normal path.
Boy, forgot about Sean.
Hell o a nice guy who had a better bat than Satin.
Lutz never got over that.
