Sean Reid-Foley, Jakson Reetz, Bradley Zimmer, Jordan Brink, Trace Loehr

3-12-14 – 10 High School Players on the Rise – Sean Reid-Foley, RHP, Sandalwood HS (FL) - The 6’-4”, 200 pound right-hander has been blowing away the competition this season. Over 16 innings, he has 37 strikeouts to just one walk, allowing two hits. He has a plus fastball that can touch 94 mph with late life and movement and a plus, filthy curveball that sits mid-70s. I have heard that he has cleaned up his mechanics and is looking like a top-15 pick in the 2014 MLB draft the way he has been pitching. Committed to Florida State. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-10-high-school-players-rise/41773#oFu0m6JRyhOHXIwD.99

3-26-14 - Jakson Reetz - Senior catcher/right-handed pitcher, Norris (Firth, Neb.) - Greatness Present: On the eve of the opening game of his final spring on a prep baseball diamond, Reetz told the Omaha World-Herald, “I want to get the best out of this season.” So far, so good. In the first game of his senior season, the state’s returning Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year belted a pair of home runs, added a double and reached on an error in a 3-for-4 effort at the plate. He drove in five runs and scored three times in an 11-0 win over Lincoln as the Titans (1-0) embarked on their Class B state title defense. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Reetz, ranked as the No. 28 prospect nationally by Perfect Game USA, also called senior teammate Matt Johnson’s three-hit shutout from behind the plate. Not a bad start http://www.usatodayhss.com/article/national-poy-watch-jakson-reetz

3-9-14 – MLB Draft Insider - Bradley Zimmer – OF San Francisco – San Francisco won a one to nothing contest against California on Saturday and it was thanks to Zimmer. Zimmer was two for four with a run and a strikeout on the day. He hit a homerun in the sixth which was the only run scored in the game. It was his first homerun of the year. http://mlbdraftinsider.com/2014/03/the-rundown-march-8/#more-3872

3-5-14 – TTF - 10 college players on the rise — week 3  - Jordan Brink, RHP, Fresno State (68) - The 6’-1” right-hander wowed scouts when he was hitting 96 mph with his fastball this fall. He adds a low-80s slider that has looked plus this year and his change-up is rapidly improving. In his latest brilliant outing, Brink out-dueled Daniel Mengden and Texas A&M, allowing just one hit over seven shutout innings, striking out five and walking three. On the season, he has now allowed one run on six hits over 21.1 innings, striking out 15 to seven walks. He has been mentioned as a possible first-round pick by some experts. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/2014-mlb-draft-week-3/41478#ilZqhEaASo2Kkjik.99

MIF - Trace Loehr, Sr., Putnam (Ore.) - Loehr makes his second consecutive appearance in this spot thanks to his high level combination of quick defensive actions and quick hands at the plate. He's a high level performer with a proven track record, not only for Putnam but also with Team USA and at numerous high level showcase events. http://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=9561
