Minor League Recap - 4-20-15

Two close wins, a Las Vegas beating at the hands of Fresno, and raindrops hold Michael Conforto in check.

Minor League Player of The Night - Dilson Herrera, for his 3 hits, including a double and homer.

Honorable Mention - Brandon Nimmo: a nice night, hopefully a catalyst for him to get on a roll.

AAA - Las Vegas - (6-6) 4 - Fresno (8-4) 8

    RHSP Matt Bowman - 4 IP, 12 H, 6 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 2 HR, 10.93

   2B Dilson Herrera - 3-5, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, .362

Matt Bowman is really struggling. The success of 2014 is a distant memory. Dilson Herrera is 15 for his last 30.  He is smoking hot.

AA - Binghamton (7-5) 4  -  Erie (6-6) 3

    RHSP Seth Lugo -  5.2-IP, 7-H, 2-R, 7-K, 1-BB, 1.54

    CF Brandon Nimmo - 3-4, 2-RBI, .261

Nice efforts by Lugo and Nimmo in a tight ballgame.

A+ - St. Lucie -

game postponed due to rain... will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader today

A - Savannah  (4-6) 6 - Rome (3-6) 5

    SS Luis Guillorme - 1-3, 2-R, 1-BB, 2-E, .313

Mack - a rare two error night from the defensive specialist...

    RHSP Martires Arias

Mack - Arias is another of the Latin 24-year old players that are playing at, at least, two levels below where they should be. I do not project him as a possible future major league starter.
