The Ed Delany pic caravan continues from St. Lucie.
First up is RP Matt Pobereyko, who has a Columbia 2017 stat line of: 23-G, 2-2, 3.15, 34-IP, 53-K, 14-BB. The 13.89 K/9 ratio alone should earn him a promotion to St. Lucie.
Next comes 1B Gavin Garay. The ex-St. John's first baseman had 130 at-bats for Kingsport last year and hit .246, with three home runs. He'll stay in extended camp this spring and will probably start in Brooklyn when their season opens.
And lastly, comers OF Rafael Gladu. He hit .269/.342/.369/.711 in his first Mets season for Kingsport. The Mets are not going to wait on this former star for Lousiana Tech (2017: .378/.439/.579/1018, 8-HR). He does have power potential so keep an eye on him. He could be a 16th round steal.
