8 teams had more minor league free agents with the Twins leading the league with 38. The Mariners were second with 36 Minor League Free Agents.
Some other Minor League Mets like Albert Almora, Jared Eickoff, Jose Martinez, Brandon Drury, and Cameron Maybin all declared themselves free agents earlier this winter.

already signed one Minor League free agent released by the Mariners, LHP Nate
Fisher. Mack really liked Nate when
he came out of college in 2019. A
starter in college, he was used mostly in relief for the Mariners in the minors

2019 UDFA out of Nebraska was cut by the Mariners during Covid, took a finance job, re-signed with Seattle, and had a 2.89 ERA w/ 11.3 K/9 this year.

Noah is Gone, Gone, Gone.
Noah Syndergaard kissed "The Big Apple" goodbye and joins his old manager in LA Angels red. Angels beat Mets qualifying offer by almost 3.0 mill.
Not good news for us fans.
However
With both Jake and Noah in the same one rotation (which would have bene here) it raised some injury concerns for the Mets in 2022. I liked Noah a lot. Everyone did. He is Thor. But the Mets need to re-group on their '22 rotation, and they will.
Robbie Ray and Carlos Rodon to the rescue.
Two quality lefties to join several quality righties in deGrom, Walker, Megill, and Drew Smith. And two quality up and comer lefties in Peterson and Lucchesi, either of which could go to the bullpen if too many in the starting rotation.
Forget about Stroman (please), he is a 500% starter with a below 9 strikeouts per nine innings and for reasons. It would be a "Sandy move" I do realize because the team knows Marcus. But never the less, it is a mistake I believe. The 2022 NY Mets need to regroup and not just go "Ground Hogs Day" with Bill Murray. Build it better in other words.
Mets also lost 25 MiLB Mets to Free Agency. The only one I will miss from this list is SP Franklyn Kilome because he was just beginning to get back on track after a major arm injury. I still believe that he could be something special.
Mets sign Free Agent lefty Jack Fisher. Biggin. Throws mid-90's. Has decent breaker. Likes apizza. Can prove it.
Eppler: Build it better, start with the '22 rotation. Team has enough solid righties. Get two really good lefties in there to balance out.
This will out get sorted out.
Tough business. Many struggle for a place, but doors close. Next year, different names, same story.
