I loved Mauricio’s reaction after his game tying hit. He has fire.
Arizona hitters are disappointing. Good to see Holdermanpitching well a few games recently.
I sometimes wonder why David Rodriguez is not in the Mets’ back up catcher plans. After his first two rookie ball seasons, he has career-wise been over 40 CS%. Gets on base well.
I didn't understand why David Rodriguez did not play more last year in Syracuse. You would think with his winter ball stats they would have given him regular work or at least platooned with Mazeika. Instead they went out and signed Martin Cervenka and Chance Sisco. This year he is likely to be passed on the depth chart by Senger and Nick Meyer. He will likely leave as a minor league free agent This winter.
Puzzler. Senger not hitting in AFL. And Meyer seems like a lesser version of Nido. They need a solid 3rd catcher until Francisco gets here. D Rod seems like he can catch and get on base. I guess Mazeika is in a solid place as #2 or #3 for now.
