series against the Grizzlies will conclude on Thursday evening…the 51s will then return to Cashman Field on Friday, April 12 for the “home” opener against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, at 7:05 p.m.


Sacramento defeats Las Vegas 8-4 in series finale: The River Cats defeated the 51s 8-4 on Sunday afternoon in the finale of the four-game series before a crowd of 5,947 at
Raley Field.

Las Vegas offense: The 51s recorded 7 hits and scored two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings. Center fielder Juan Lagares was 2-for-4, double, run scored; first baseman Josh Satin was 2-for-4, double, run scored and second baseman Reese Havens was 1-for-2, walk, RBI.

Sacramento offense: The River Cats recorded 11 hits and scored six runs in the seventh inning to break the 2-2 tie. Catcher Stephen Vogt was 3-for-4, two doubles, HR, 2RBI; second baseman Jemile Weeks was 3-for-5, two runs scored; first baseman Grant Green was 2-for-4, walk,
double, RBI, run scored and center fielder Michael Choice was 1-for-5 with a grand slam.

Las Vegas pitching: Right-hander Carlos Torres pitched 5.2 innings in the no decision. He allowed 5 hits, 2 runs, walked 3 and struck out 3.

51s Bullpen: Right-hander Dylan Owen pitched 0.2 innings and allowed 4 hits and 5 runs. Right-hander Armando Rodriguez pitched 1.2 innings and allowed 2 hits, 1 run, walked 2 and struck out 2.
