Research:

Texas Needs:

          2012:  LF

          2013:  C,  SP,  2B,  OF

Thoughts:

1. Teams don’t match up well. Texas will work hard to resign Kinsler, Napoli. and Hamilton.

2. It seems that Texas will be able to continue supplying their rotation with prospects within their system.

3. There is no way that Texas will commit long term money to any other second baseman, catcher,  or centerfielder until they are sure they can’t sign who they already have playing for them.

4. Texas will have to decide where to put OF prospect Martin, who they are committed to long term. I assume he will play LF in 2012.

5. Biggest decision will be who plays SS someday (Andrus vs. Profar) but that won’t be addressed in 2012.

Summary Suggestion:

I randomly chose Texas to do this because a new prospect list came out. You never know where you’re going when you use facts and stats to determine what a team might do.

Here… Texas has no reason to deal with the Mets in the next 10 months unless they want to take Jason Bay of the Mets hands.
