Trenton's offense was shut down for the third straight game, this time by the Binghamton Mets in a three-hit shutout, 8-0, Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium. Erik Goeddel combined with two relievers on the blanking, and the Thunder have now been held to just two total runs and 11 total hits in their last three games.
Goeddel (5-2) allowed the first two batters in the first inning to reach - a walk to Ramon Flores and a single to Slade Heathcott - then proceeded to retire the next 16 straight. He worked seven innings and permitted two hits while striking out four.
