September 13th - Mets 4, Marlins 3
Friday night at Citi Field Lucas Duda brought the Mets from behind in one from swoop with his 13th homer on the year, the Mets go on to beat the Marlins 4-3. In the 6th the Mets were trailing the Marlins 2-1. Jon Niese was being out dueled by Brad Hand, when Duda took a curve ball over the right field wall to propell the Mets. In the 2nd inning the Mets traded homers with the fish. In the top of the inning Giancarlo Stanton hit his first of two homers on the night to give the Marlins the early advantange, but in the bottom of the inning Andrew Brown tied it with his 7th dinger on the year. Donovan Solano made it 2-1 Marlins with an rbi double in the 5th. That set the stage for Dudas clutch 3 run shot. Stanton hit his 2nd of the game and 22nd on the year in the 7th to make it 4-3. Niese went 6 1/3 allowng 6 hits, 3 runs (all earned) he walked none and struck out 7. He gets the win evening his record at 7-7. Hand gets the loss he falls to 0-1. LaTroy Hawkins pitched the 9th for his 9th save. The Mets are now 65-81 on the season and improve their record at Citi Field to 29-42. Saturday a double dip in Flushing. Game one is at 1:10 pm est Daisuke Matsuzaka (0-3 8.00) goes for the Mets, Henderson Alvarez (3-4 4.34) goes for the M's, The nightcap features Carlos Torres (3-4 3.53), Jacob Tuner (3-6 3.43) goes for Miami. https://www.facebook.com/MetsForum
