Northeast Delta Dental Stadium  Manchester, NH  6:35 PM

LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets were baffled by Scott Copeland and fell to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-0, on Monday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Copeland took over for Major League rehabber Casey Janssen in the second inning and tossed eight shutout innings, surrendering four hits and allowing just one runner to get past first base. Tyler Pill gave up three runs (one run) on three hits over five innings, but took his second straight hard-luck lost. It was Binghamton’s third shutout loss of the season. Andy Fermin broke a scoreless game with a solo home run in the third, his first at Double-A.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Hansel Robles makes his fifth start of the season and second against the Fisher Cats. The Dominican Republic native took a no-decision in his most recent start against the Akron RubberDucks on April 29. Robles allowed three runs on a season-high eight hits over season-long 5.2 innings. He struck out two and walked one in a game the B-Mets lost by a 4-3 final. Robles collected his only win of the season against New Hampshire on April 13. He fanned six over five shutout innings. Signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Mets, he is in his sixth season in the Mets organization.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: LHP Matt Boyd takes the mound for his second start as a Fisher Cat. The southpaw took a no-decision in his Double-A debut on May 1 against the Trenton Thunder. He struck out four and allowed two runs on five hits over four innings. Boyd was promoted to New Hampshire after dominating the Florida State League with the Dunedin Blue Jays (High-A). In five starts, he went 4-0 with a 0.29 ERA, allowing just one run on 18 hits over 31.0 innings. Boyd was selected by the Blue Jays in the 6th round of the 2013 draft out of Oregon State University.

NO OFFENSIVE HELP: The B-Mets suffered their third shutout loss of the season on Monday night. All three have come in games started by Tyler Pill. Pill has received an average of just 1.6 runs per game, the worst run support for any B-Met starter.

STRUGGLING TO SCORE: In their last six games, the B-Mets have scored a total of 15 runs. It is the fewest runs scored in a six-game stretch since Binghamton was held to 14 runs during a six-game stretch in July 2013.

THAT WAS QUICK: Monday night’s game clocked in at 2:08. It was the B-Mets’ shortest nine-inning game since they needed just 2:07 to complete a 1-0 loss to the New Britain Rock Cats on May 23, 2013. The game was tied for the seventh-shortest nine-inning game in the last seven seasons.

TOVAR’S STREAK ENDS: Wilfredo Tovar went 0-for-2 on Monday night, snapping his nine-game hitting streak come to an end. Tovar hit .433 (13-for-30) during the season-long stretch and raised his batting average by 58 percentage points.

BURGAMY BLUES: B-Mets infielder Brian Burgamy has gone hitless in his last 20 at-bats. His batting average has dropped by 60 percentage points in his last five games. Burgamy’s last hit, a double, came against the Erie SeaWolves on April 27.

LOSING SKID: The B-Mets dropped their third straight game on Monday night. Excluding the postseason in 2013, Binghamton has not lost four straight since they suffered through a seven-game losing streak in 2012 from June 26 to July 2.

OUT-HIT, OUT-SCORED: The B-Mets have been out-hit in their last seven games. They are 2-5 in those games.
