Tyler Pill actually, per ESPN box score, walked none and struck out 9. Wow, what a combined pitching/hitting nite.
Exciting to see guys starting their careers/seasons and how guys who got promoted did in their first game at the higher level.
Question for youse guys....the other Wheeler, Jeff Beck Wheeler, it just occurred to me, has been out of the recent box scores, and so I looked and he has not pitched since June 1. Any idea what happened to the Beckster?
one other quick point - ever notice those pitchers who just win a lot, with stats not that much more eye-popping than guys who don't. Mr. Ynoa is 25-6 since the beginning of 2013, including playoffs. Pretty amazing.

Thanks for the correction. Pill indeed did walk none and strike out 9. It is very late when I compile the MMLR and am sometimes bleary eyed. In the midst of entering Pills stats, I obviously refocused my eyes on the stat line of Kyle Crick, the opposing pitcher, who actually did walk 4 and strike out 7.
Beck Wheeler has a right knee strain and is on the DL. To the best of my knowledge, there is no date for his expected return.
Regarding those pitchers who win a lot,usually, those wins are well deserved. Ynoa's 28-8 over the past 3 years is explained by his ERA under 3.00 for that period. His 8-2 record this year, however, is not due to Ynoa's prowess, but rather being backed by the highedt scoring team in the FSL. St. Lucie's offense is, by far, the best in the league.
