I went to Catholic grammar school as a kid.
75% was the passing grade.
Before you flunk Edwin Diaz, consider that 75% figure.
He has recorded 32 outs this year.
24 by strikeout.
A remarkable:
75 PERCENT.
He may frustrate me at times.
But in my class, he PASSES WITH FLYING COLORS.

I think it is also what you do besides get the outs. For example, you pitch 4 innings, get 9 Ks out of 12 outs but give up 1 earned run and allow 3 other runs that belong to the previous pitcher to score - is that passing?
Overall. you are correct, Edwin has been much better this year.
Ramos still has a tough time catching low balls as was evident with Betances last night. Nido needs to catch late innings and Sanchez should also be on the roster so they can mix and match the catchers, get Ramos at bats (by pinch hitting for Nido/Sanchez) and catching high ball pitchers, and still get defense.
Agree on Ramos. That Wilson pitch was bad on his part.
