15-10? Sure that's not a Sundat Night Football score?

Los Navengantes scored 10 runs two games in a row and split them.

Puts the Wilfredo Tovar and Jose Martinez run to .400 in perspective. Still, I preferred this game to Football. My kids kept telling me to come watch the playoff games yesterday. They said they were exciting. Nah, I will stick with Venezuelan Baseball. Can't wait for the Caribbean Series to start.

How does the Caribbean Series work? Is it the winning team of each league that plays, a "hybrid" that includes players from other teams, or an "All-Star" team from the league?

Bill. It is the winning team from each league with additional players from other teams (usually just a couple). In the DR's case maybe an Albert Pujols or Robinson Cano joins. It would depend on what that team needs I think. Gigantes, the league Champion, took 3 good ex-Mets pitchers from an eliminated team for the Playoffs - Raul Valdes, Jenrry Mejia, and Tim Peterson. That helped then win. We will see if they take more.

I wonder what the deal is with Jenrry Mejia? Has he lost velocity? What is different now from when he was successful several years ago - that would be interesting to know.

Guessing just getting older and not pitching much these last 6 years. From watching the games it looks like his ball still moves.

If anything is left in Mejia's tank, it seems he could have a chance of return to the big leagues. 909 guys pitched in 2021 in MLB. Why not Jennry in 2022?
