The Caribbean Series would be so much better - to be there in person!

I'm pulling for the .304 lifetime MLB hitter TJ Rivera to re-discover the magic this coming week.

The Carribean Series will be held in Miami either next year or the year after. Maybe you can go then?

When will the rosters be announced?

Puerto Rico announced the roster on Monday. We had it yesterday morning. They were the first team to clinch. As soon as the other teams are announced, I will do a post with all the rosters. At the latest Friday

Thanks. I saw Edwin Diaz' name on the PR list. Is he actually planning to play?

Bill,

Different Edwin Diaz. That one is an infielder in the A's organization.

Dominican Republic Roster is out. Robinson Cano will be on the team joining Ex-Mets Jenrry Mejia, Raul Valdes and Jordany Valdespin.

Thanks. With so many players "sharing" names, it would be helpful if the leagues showed MLB affiliations (if any) of the listed players.

I guess Cano is the only current Met (though technically not) still active in the Carib.

I believe that Cano is not on the 40 until his suspension ends. If so, is he allowed to meet with Buck and work out at St Lucie while the lockout is still on?

Great question Bill. I think he is suspended from all contact with Mets lockout or non-lockout.

You have to click on his name on a box score to get that - kinda convoluted but it is there. It threw me off as well.

Venezuelan Roster announced. No ex-Mets or current Mets added to the team. I will double check full list later but looks like Alejandro de Aza will be only Met related player. No Jose Martinez, no Asdrubal Cabrera, no Wilfredo Tovar.
