Wednesday afternoon at AT&T park, the Mets completed a 3

Zach Attack! The kid will put it together he just needs time.
Having allowed myself to stop caring about loses in 2013, and in doing so, looking ahead to 2014 and a top 5 protected pick in next years draft, I suddenly feel that this team is actually going to end up over .500.
Ever since Kirk's walk off homer, this team has just been different. They seem to be a team that can win on any given night due to their starters, and now it seems as if they might ultimately end up with another unprotected first rounder in a season they don't make the playoffs. Which to me, is a huge problem in an off season that they'll look to spend some money.
Crazy to not really want these good results even though I always want them to win, but I've bought into building the system up and I really think its a key to any sustained success in the future. Especially since the free spending days are long gone.
