Matz is 2. Not sure what metrics came up with otherwise, but can't see others in front of him, especially some listed
What an extraordinary set of projections; 3 # 1s, 6 # 2s, and other midrotation starters. Cool to see where they rank Akeel at #4. Puzzled that he essentially ranked Robles above Montero. I'd think Montero s/b a 2/3, and Robles more like a #5.
List lacks lower minor guys who likely will be on this list next year, such as Molina, Oswalt and Blake and Logan Taylor. So the organizational pitching depth is greater than that top 20, and in fact is extremely promising. Combined with what is already at the major league level, I'd say it is the deepest in Met history.
May be a dumb question, Mack, but who is Gapper?
