The Thunder took their first lead of the game in the fifth. Casey Stevenson hit the first pitch he saw inside the foul pole down the right-field line for a home run. Back-to-back singles by Ali Castillo and Cave put runners on the corners with nobody out. Gamel then hit a sacrifice fly to left to bring home a run and put the Thunder on top 3-1.
Binghamton got a run back in the sixth against Danny Burawa. T.J. Rivera smacked a one-out single and moved to second on a passed ball. Jayce Boyd came through with a single of his own to plate Rivera to cut the deficit to one, 3-2.

A Castillo hit-by-pitch put two on for Cave. He hit his third triple in the past two games to bring home both runners and put the Thunder on top 7-2.
Binghamton got one run back in the ninth against Francisco Rondon. Boyd started the rally with a single and moved to third on a Taijeron two-bagger. Gronauer plated Boyd with a single, but Rondon retired the final two batters to close out the victory.
