4/15/15

4-14-15 - Minor League Recap

AAA - Las Vegas - (3-3) 2 - Sacramento  (4-2) 3

    LHSP Steven Matz -  5 IP, 5 H, 5 BB, 5K, 3 R

    1B Eric Campbell - 1-1, .550...coming home to play 3B

    CF Darrell Ceciliani -  1-3, HR, .250. 2nd HR in 12 ABs

    LHRP Jack Leathersich -  1 IP, perfect, 3 K, 0.00

Jack is telling Matz to work on his control.  Jack had a terrible outing in early spring, great ever after. He is no longer walking anyone. In fact, in 2.2 innings, 1 hit, no walks, 7 Ks.  Slightly impressive.

WOtherwise, Vegas 2015 is hitting nothing like the 2014 version, that came out of the gates with tremendous offense.

AA - Binghamton - split of a twin bill.

  Game 1 -   Binghamton (4-1) 7  -  Erie (1-4) 6

     RHSP John Gant -   3.2-IP, 7-H, 5-ER, 2-K, 2-BB,  12.27

     1B Aderlin Rodriguez -   1-2, 2-R, Grand Slam, 4-RBI, .300

     3B T.J. Rivera -   3-4, 2-R, .471

      SS Gavin Cecchini -  2-3, 1-R, 1-HR (1), 3-RBI, .400

Game 2 -     Erie (2-4)  2  -  Binghamton (4-2)  1

     RHSP Seth Lugo - 6.0-IP, 3-H, 0-R, 6-K, 0-BB, 0.00

     CF Brandon Nimmo -    2-3, 1-R, 1-HR (2), 1-RBI, .174

Dario Alvarez allowed a come-from-behind 2 run shot in the final inning, costing the B Mets a DH sweep. Nice to see A Rod hit a slam, and Gavin has come strong out of the gate, jacking one out.

A+ - St. Lucie -

    Brevard County (3-2)  1  -  St. Lucie (3-3)  0

The young St Lucians have stopped hitting almost entirely the past 2 games. Vic Black allowed the lone run in a wild 2nd, obscuring a great 5 inning stint by Miller Makes It Right Diaz.
      RHSP - Miller Diaz - 5.0-IP, 0-R, 2-H, 6-K, 3-BB, 0.00

    RHRP Bobby Parnell -  1.0-IP, 2-H, 1-K, 0.00

     RHRP Vic Black - 1.0-IP, 1-H, 1-R, 2-K, 2-BB, 9.00

A - Savannah -

       Rome (2-4)  2  -  Savannah (2-4)  0

    RHSP - Scarlyn Reyes -  4.0-IP, 5-H, 2-R, 2-K, 1-BB, 4.50

    LHRP Alberto Baldonado - 2.1-IP, 1-H, 0-R, 4-K, 3-BB, 0.00

The Gnats are also Gnat hitting at all, other than John Mora And Jon Leroux.  Everyone on the team needs to change their name to John (Jon).

Underperformer du Jour - Dario Alvarez, almost all the hitters.
