Mack - Grandy's Small xISO Gains (Watch Me Hack This Post Up)

I found another Grandy blurb on Fangraphs about obtaining small Isolated Power gains:

Granderson is enigmatic. He continues to walk and strike out at career-best rates and is using all parts of the field in ways unseen since his days with the Tigers. Like Markakis, a .181 xISO would be a three-year high for the Grandy Man; and, like Markakis, he has become less and less fantasy-relevant in recent years. But Granderson’s new plate approach warrants a few more extra-base hits — when he puts the ball in play, at least, and isn’t walking or striking out. I’m reluctant to assume there will be home runs in tow, though.

I really have developed a sort of man crush on this guy so far this season. His opening the season in another horrendous slump was what though was going to be the death of him. Knowing the gentleman he is, I would have expected him to go out to dinner with Sandy Alderson and the Wilpons, cut a deal in which each party eats half his remaining contract and everyone would leave the restaurant in opposite directions.

Instead, he sucks it up one more time and starts the road to recovery.

I feel like I should mail him one of my 32 AA chips just for his efforts (yeah, 32 years...).

My dream?

Simple... I want Dilson Herrera to strike a fire and become the #2 hitter in the lineup, after Granderson, and before Wright, Duda, Cuddyer, d'Arnaud, Lagares, and either Wilfredo Tovar, Matt Reynolds, or Amed Rosario.

Oh, did I tell you?

I sold Wilmer Flores to the Samsung Lions of the KBO for a pot of Kim-Chee or whatever you call that smelly shit.

Wilmer Flores Stew. Be careful cooking it, because it is easy to make an error And you may drop the pot.

I really thought Grandy would come around. He hit so well this spring, so awfully last spring. I just wish he did not run the Mets out of that inning yesterday when Thor needed some run support.

That smelly shit was 4 for his last 11 after being moved into a position in the lineup with some protection behind him. I'd like to see how he fares there for a week or two before turning him into a Seoul Man.
