Woooho intresting! Must be very happy with him. Guess Robles or Leather to Vegas

Technically, they haven't activated him so I'm sure they are still working on this decision.

Also... lifetime access to MLB health plan and $2900 per day.

Mack do you have to accrue a certain amount of service in the show to get Lifetime bennies from MLB?

Bob -

No, I believe he would now 'have access' to it for his lifetime... I could be wrong

Holy cow! Unreal. Unheard of.

That Adam Smith said...

Benefits of being on the 40-man. Now, the interesting question is who goes down or gets DFA'd. It truly won't surprise me if it's Gee.

Actually, it's not unheard of...didn't they do the same last year with Dario Alvarez who was dominating at Savannah (primarily) though he was a lot older at 25.

Difference with the Alvarez situation is he got called up in a non-pennant race scenario and, even if briefly, got to pitch several games in AA. That was amazing too, but Akeel even more so.

Gee should still be worth something in a trade. But it seems time to part ways.
