In the top of the 6th Kris Bryant walked. Bryant reached 2nd on a comebacker that Niese had a shot to get Bryant at second but elected to go to first. That came back to haunt Niese as Mike Szczur double bringing home Bryant with the game’s only run. Niese went 7 allowed just 4 hits 1 run (earned) walking 4 and striking out 5.
