Damn......We will no longer be following RHP Jeremy Hefner.

He has signed a minor league contract to play for the St. Louis Cardinals.

That is disappointing considering how well the Mets treated him during his rehab.

C'mon Reese....we don't know very many of the details. The Mets fulfilled their professional obligation, as all teams do with injured guys. This is the next phase---and they probably had a realistic conversation with him about opportunity to pitch, etc.

These are all so individual...maybe his "old coach" is going to be at his new assignment...maybe he was able to negotiate a "freedom Clause" in his st. Louis Contract.

I'm rooting for Hefner...and lots of the other ex-mets who are out there chasing dreams. After all..........why not?
