Bisons Add INF/OF Josh Petersen
OF Emil Brown Released by Mets
The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today announced that INF/OF Josh Petersen has been promoted to the team from the Binghamton Mets (AA). The Mets also announced that OF Emil Brown has been released by the team.
Petersen, 27, has hit .326 (59-181) with 10 doubles, a triple, three home runs and 27RBI in 57 games with Binghamton. Petersen has swung a hot bat of late, as he joins the Bisons on a six-game hit streak (.520, 13-250). In his last 25 games, he has hit .379 (33-87) for Binghamton
Petersen has spent most of his season in the outfield for Binghamton but has also made two starts at first base and four at third base for the B-Mets.
Brown hit .256 (32-125) with two home runs and 13RBI in 34 games with Buffalo.
