Scouting Report: One of the top prospects from North Carolina, Ty Buttrey is a tall righthander with a great deal of projection. Buttrey throws a low 90′s fastball that has hit 95. The pitch currently lacks ideal movement. He has a big curve that shows plus potential and a change that he throws with good arm speed. Buttrey has an easy, low effort delivery an throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Buttrey is one of the most improved prep pitchers over the last year and figures to be a high draft pick in June.

Buttrey currently 4-0 and has hit 96 late into games. Curve is improved and much more of a tight 12/6. Throws change less against HS talent.
