Mets Fall to Fort Myers 4-1
FORT MYERS, FLA. — Byron Buxton had three hits and scored three runs and Kennys Vargas had two hits and two RBIs as the Fort Myers Miracle defeated the St. Lucie Mets 4-1 in a rain shortened six-inning game at Hammond Stadium on Sunday.
The Miracle had a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning when the game was called due to rain.
Rainy Lara(2-3) suffered his third loss and allowed three runs and six hits over five innings.
T.J. Rivera had two hits and a run scored while Matt den Dekker had an RBI double.
The Mets will visit Fort Myers on Monday at 7:05 p.m. Domingo Tapia will make the start for the Mets. press release
