With their 5th loss in a row, Brooklyn has taken themselves out of the NYPL playoff picture.
One of the Cyclones‘ Big 3, John Gant (L, 6-4) just didn‘t have it tonight: 2.0 IP, 6 R, 5 ER, 5 H, 3 BB, 2 K.

Greeneville eliminates Kingsport 7-3 in Game 3 of Appy League Playoffs.
Robert Whalen: (L, 0-1) 6.1 IP, 2 R, 6 H, BB, 3 K.
Ricardo Jacquez comes in and gets the last 2 outs in the 7th inning, pitches a scoreless 8th, but the roof falls in when he is left in for the 9th with a 3-2 lead. Jacquez gives up 2 doubles, 1 run scoring, while getting 2 outs.
Robert Coles relieves and allows Jacquez’s runner to score and gives up 3 more runs of his own on an intentional walk followed by 2 singles and a double.
Yeixon Ruiz: 0-2, 2 BB, 2 R.
Victor Cruzado: 1-3, 3B, R.
