The Bees defeated the 51s, 4-3, in game four of the PCL Conference Championship Series (Best-of-5) and captured the series over Las Vegas, 3-games-to-1, to advance to the Championship Series (Best-of-5) against the Omaha Storm Chasers (American Conference Championship Series winners over Oklahoma City, 3-games-to-0) beginning on Tuesday, September 10 in Papillion, Neb....Salt Lake scored solo runs in the fifth and seventh innings to take a 4-2 lead...Las Vegas, which stranded 7 runners on base, scored a solo run in the eighth inning on a RBI double by right fielder Mike Baxter (2-for-3, walk)...Las Vegas had the tying run at third base in the ninth inning (Dustin Lawley with a lead-off walk) but right-hander Daniel Stange struck out center fielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis (2-for-5, lead-off home run) to end the game and the series.
