Stop With The "another Met Injured" BS

I like to check sportspyder.com around twice a day to see what is being written about the Mets.

It's a great site. It links up with most of the Met sites, that cover the range of the New York Times, to some convicted felon typing in the basement of his single wide.

But it does give a writer a quick view of what's out there, especially during a three hour period where you were sneaking a nap on a warm spring day.

And there it goes...

2,186 headlines about how another Met has entered the injury bus.

Look, I know this stuff is news, especially on a slow day with the kind of lineup they put up today, but you never see people like Adam Rubin or John Heyman blast some headline about "the injury list continues to grow.

Yes, there are springtime dings.

And yes, there are 25 different reporters in Lucy trying to report the Mets news.

And a third yes, there are player like Mike Pelfry that feel a ding here, or a twinch there and it needs to be reported.

But the rest of you blog kings who are trying to be Dick Young, THE ONLY METS WITH A SIGNIFICANT INJURY THAT WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF MAJOR TIME ARE...

Billy Wagner Sal Aguilar Scott Moviel

Some have boo boos, a couple have been shut down , and others walk around with ice... but this is the kind of stuff that goes on inside a major league baseball team.

It ain't hockey, but it's ain't friggin badmitton either.
