B-Mets Game Notes - Mejia pitches today

LAST GAME:

In a well-pitched ball game, the B-Mets fell 3-2 at
Harrisburg Tuesday night. Starter Eric Brown tied a seasonhigh
with seven, strong innings of work allowing three runs on
nine hits with six strikeouts for the third straight start. Unfortunately,
Brown was the losing pitcher in the contest. In 2-2
game, Ian Desmond homered to the opposite field with two
outs in the seventh to propel the Senators over Binghamton 3-
2. The B-Mets took their only lead of the game in the fourth
when Nick Evans stole home on a double steal with Lucas
Duda, who swiped second to tie the game. Then, Carl Loadenthal
singled to left to score Duda from second to give the BMets
a 2-1 lead. In the sixth, Harrisburg tied the game with an
RBI single from Marvin Lowrance. With a scoreless ninth, Clint
Everts secured the win and his first AA save.

starts in the Gulf Coast League, Mejia pitched for Brooklyn (SS
-A) and produced a 3.49 ERA and a 3-2 mark in 57 innings.

shutout innings in his last start June 12 at Reading. He allowed
just three hits and three walks to pick up his second
straight win. He is 2-1 with a 1.73 ERA in 26 innings with
Harrisburg. Martinez opened the year with Potomac (High-A)
