Carson and Johnson added to SAL ASG

UPDATED ROSTERS ANNOUNCED
FOR 50TH ANNUAL SAL ALL-STAR GAME

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Eric Krupa, president of the South Atlantic League, has announced updates to the rosters for the 50th Annual SAL All-Star Game, scheduled to be played on June 23, 2009, at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, West Virginia.

For the Northern Division, Kannapolis catcher John Curtis will replace Hickory's Doug Hogan, who is on the disabled list. Also, Greensboro's Justin Bass will replace Kannapolis's Tyler Kuhn in left field. Kuhn was promoted to Winston-Salem in the Carolina League.

Turning to the Southern Division lineup, Rome pitcher Ezekiel Spruill has been named the starting pitcher, replacing Greenville's Casey Kelley, who was promoted. Also, Savannah pitcher Robert Carson and Rome pitcher J.J. Hoover were added to the roster to replenish the Southern Division pitching staff. Pitchers Jeffrey Kaplan and Jimmy Johnson from Savannah, Asheville's Christian Friedrich and Augusta's Daniel Runzler have been promoted since the voting was completed and the initial lineups were announced
