Hush Hush Sweet 7, Lucy 3

It looks like, for now, Frankie Pena will remain behind the plate, and recent arrival Jordan Abruzzo will DH, which it seems like he’s been doing for three years. I feel sorry for Jordan, who will never be considered a catching prospect unless he gets ample time catching pitchers.

SP Scott Shaw has had a decent year so far, but got pulled today after 2.2IP for too many pitchers. He gave up three earned runs, and sic walks, and his ERA went to 3.63.

RP Tim Stronach continues to struggle and we might be seing the end of him soon. Today, he gave up another three runs in 2-0, and his ERA stands now at a whopping 9.64.

Mets prospect RP Jimmy Johnson didn’t fair that much better, giving up one run in 1.1 IP. His ERA tops out now at 4.15.

In the Lucy portion of the 9th, Brahiam Maldonado and Hector Pellot both advanced, at different times, to 2nd on “defensive indifference”… what you talkin’ about, Willis? Sounds like an attempted steal with no one giving a shit.
