The first game went quick. SP Angel Calero pitched a decent complete game (7.0 IP, 2-ER, 3-K, 4.24), but it wasn’t enough.
The Mets scattered five hits, two of which were by newly crowned first baseman, Zach Lutz (.247).
C Frankie Pena (.219) went 0-3 and DH Jordan Abruzzo (.000) remains hitless for 2009.
