I'd like the PTBNL to be one of Dee Gordon or Joc Pederson, but I'm not holding my breath :)
Dee Gordon is a terrible SS. He had seven errors last year in 27 games...That would be 42 over a full season. He is a good hitter though, and he's been playing CF in the Winter league.
I thought you had to keep a Rule 5 all year or return him to the original team. Didn't think you could trade him.

Its actually very common to trade Rule 5 players.
The new team though still has to keep the player on the 25 man roster. Its basically just a transfer of responibilities
I thought i read the mets were going to get cash from the dodgers not a player?

Most recent report I have received so far suggests its an actual PTBNL. Granted this could change once more news comes out about it.
