Look folks.

THIS is the reality of the Mets pipeline.

There is plenty of talent in it but other teams seem to have more... and better.

It has to get better. One out of one hundred is not acceptable.

The only thing that will help this situation if the players out there churn out a better product in the end.

Oh... yeah...

and if Sandy and Company do their job better

If Omar is given clout in drafting, scouting and international signings, the best is yet to come. 👍

Bill -

I totally agree.

I only hope this is what they use Omar for.

As for the list, at least 20 of these names will fall off the list this time next year. They will graduate to the next step in their career.

I'm sure we will be Luis Guillorme, David Peterson, and Thomas Szapucki on this list this time next year.

I know you're as high on Guillorme as Tom once was on Danny Muno (and currently is on Tim somebody or other), but how many glove-only players lately have had good major league careers?

Bud harrelson?

Anyone have an idea of how many of these top 100 minor league pitchers are relievers?

the guy I am shocked isn't on the list is Alonso... He is like 22 and had Power... Regardless of people's opinion of his defense... the old saying is if you can hit we'll find a place for you...

Alonso got stiffed here...he'll be on the top half of the Top 100 list next year.

Mack, I agree. My recent series on drafts by year blamed the players not one bit...100 % blame on Mets for not picking better tools guys. Of course, some injuries may have kept a few Mets pitcher prospects off the list, but to only have 1 player late in the top 100 speaks volumes as to player selections.

Reese, only thing keeping Tebow from the # 1 slot this time next year? He'll already be in the bigs:)

While the Met participation is somewhat disappointing, I take these with a grain of salt. While I have kept no score card, i am also fairly certain that deGrom and Familia were never on any of these lists. I also think MVP runner up Daniel Murphy as well as multi-millionaire Justin Turner didn't qualify either. And those are just a handful of Met all-star performers in the last few seasons.

Paul Blair, Ozzie Smith, Mark Belanger, Rey Ordonez, Gary Maddox, Adrelton Simmons, Omar Vizquel, and several others that don’t come to mind at 1:30 in the morning.

I've said it before - The Blue Jays are sitting pretty with Vlad Jr, sitting at #3 prospect and only turning 19 in two months, and Bo Bichette at # 8 and only turning 20 in 2 months. Both remind me of A Rod when he was coming up as a teenager.

I think I'd trade the Mets' whole system for those 2 guys.

I think maybe too much emphasis is put on the "team chemistry" of its 25-man roster. The simple fact is that "winning" brings a team together and losing does not.

The one move I hope to see this 2018 NYM team make is by adding another lefty arm and corner outfielder. Maybe Milwaukee Sky Sox players RF Brett Phillips and lefty Josh Harder. Something like this for developmental purpose and depth.

Brewskies need another outfielder. Juan?

Surprisingly because they are unloading all their top salary players of late, the Miami Marlins have about five AAA players who could get a chance to break ST with the parent club.

On what the Mets need more and the type of stats to be looking for...I have no issues with Asdrubal Cabrera starting on third base. I actually far prefer him over Todd Frazier. Frazier hit a measly .213 BA in 2017 with 474 AB? Are you kidding me here. Sure, he also hit 27 homeruns in 2017. But big whoops because in 2016 Cabrera hit 23 homeruns/62 RBI's/.280 BA. In 2017, Cabrera got moved around a bit on the infield which tends to upset players apple carts. Anyway, he hit .280 again in 2017.

I haven't a single query with the 2018 NYM infield. All I'd even consider adding in, would be a top tier catcher like a JT Realmuto (there's added HR's Bubba) or another young corner outfielder from another team's AAA roster. This is just incase Conforto cannot go until Labor Day. Shoulder injuries can be wicked stuff. It's all about how it is being re-strengthened and whether or not it is not re-injured doing so which would then reset the return date of a player considerably.

Top tier catcher with HR power game, young corner outfielder, another young lefty starter to get ready.
