News: Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco has been placed on administrative leave through June 1 per an agreement between MLB and the MLBPA, a source tells ESPN. Franco's status could change before then depending on proceedings in the criminal case in the Dominican Republic.
Franco spent the final six weeks of last season on paid administrative leave, and with the allegations of a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old still legally unresolved, the league and union agreed to two more months of admin leave.

Well this is an interesting development. The first 2 times I saw Duke LHP Jonathan Santucci this year, he threw his changeup 1 time combined. He threw 7 changeups in a 1-2-3 first vs UVa tonight, throwing it with conviction and action at 89-91 - used it as out pitch on 2 Ks

New York Mets – Bryce Rainer, SS/RHP, Harvard-Westlake HS (CA)
Bryce Rainer is a top 15 talent and would have easily been in the range the Mets would have selected had they not been dropped ten spots in the draft due to luxury tax penalties. I don’t know where Rainer ultimately ends up (SS or RHP), but he’s a talented player that fits in the middle of the first round. In this scenario, the Mets “buy him down” to their selection.

Some good news this morning. WVU Baseball superstar infielder JJ Wetherholt, who has missed a lot of time because of an injury, is expected to return to action next weekend against Kansas. WVU is coming off a big road series win over Oklahoma

So, the guy on the Phillies threw 98 yesterday and today is on the IL, after a rain out…. Ok. And they suspended Billy Eppler.
