There are several decisions to be made before the 26 are firmed up, but you have to look at Butto as a possible long man after his performance this afternoon against the Cardinals.
Barring injuries, acquisitions, trades, etc, the current lineup and rotation are set. The competition is for the final 2 spots in the pen. I don't know which guys can be optioned, but I suspect that the battle will be in favor of whichever are in the "keep or cut" category.
I'd love to keep guys like Butto, Lucchesi, Fujiyama, and especially Lavender get chances here, but I expect them to be upstate.
Omar Narvaez will be wearing a different uniform. If Senger is backup worthy, then get Nido up so Senger can play and allow the Mets to push Parada up in a few months. Just trying to get another team to eat some money but Narvaez just sucks too much right now for that to happen.
Need to keep either Lucchesi or Butto as additional rotation piece.
