13th Round Pick - Zachary Dotson – LHP – L/L – 6-1, 180 – Effington County HS – (one of my local kids!!!!)

Nine rising juniors and seniors from Effingham County participated recently in the Georgia Underclassman Showcase Top 100 at Kennesaw State University.

The event was sponsored by the Georgia Dugout Club and USA Baseball and is for high school baseball players entering their sophomore, junior and senior years.

Participants from Effingham County included Nate Sisolak of Springfield and Jordan Hill of Guyton, both students at Savannah Christian Preparatory School; Zachary Dotson of Guyton, Evan Jarman of Springfield, Dylan Scott of Guyton and Justin Wilson of Springfield, all students at Effingham County High School; and Colby May of Guyton, Jesse Osborne of Guyton and John Roberts of Rincon, all students at South Effingham High School.

There were about 64 college coaches and professional scouts at the two-day event July 2 and 3. About 800 high school students statewide tried out for the event.
