B-Mets Game Notes

TODAY’S GAME:

This evening, the Buffalo Bisons face the Norfolk Tides in the first game of a four-game series at Harbor Park (7:05 p.m.). The Bisons are coming off a 3-1 series loss to Durham to begin this eight-game roadtrip. After Friday’s game, the Bisons will return home for an eight-game homestand against Indianapolis and Durham.

VS. TIDES:

The Bisons split a four-game series with Norfolk back at Coca-Cola Field, May 8-11. It was a close fought series as the Tides only outscored the Bisons, 12-11. Buffalo has split their series against the Tides in Norfolk in each of the past three seasons.

He has six runs, three doubles, three RBI and five walks during his streak. Tonight, Sullivan can become the first Bisons player to reach a 10-game hit streak this season.

NEW YORK BOUND:

The Mets announced today that they will activate INF Alex Cora before their game in Pittsburgh tonight. Cora hit .214 (3-14) in three games with the Bisons on a major league rehab assignment. Cora was placed on the DL on May 18th with a torn ligament in his right thumb.

BIG WILY STYLE:

OF Wily Mo Pena homered yesterday as part of a two-hit game. The slugger is now riding an eight-game hit streak where he has averaged .344 (11-32) with a double, two home runs and four RBI.
