FLUSHING, N.Y., November 20, 2017 – The New York Mets today announced that the club will open its 2018 Spring Training Grapefruit League schedule on Friday, February 23 vs. the Atlanta Braves at 1:10 p.m. at First Data Field in Port St. Lucie, FL. The Mets will play 31 exhibition games in 2018, including 17 home games in Port St. Lucie.
Manager Mickey Callaway’s squad will play the Yankees in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday, March 7 and play the Yankees in Tampa on Saturday, March 10. The Mets will play the 2017 World Series champion Houston Astros seven times, including four times in Port St. Lucie.
Season, group tickets and a special ticket package including the Yankees trip to Port St. Lucie will go on sale Monday, December 4 at 10 a.m. online or by calling772-871-2115. In addition to the Yankees and Astros, the Mets will play the Marlins six times, the Nationals six times, the Cardinals four times, the Orioles twice, the Tigers twice and the Braves twice.
The Mets today also announced the launch of the 2018 Amazin’ Getaways Spring Training fan travel packages. The spring line-up will include three Grand Slam and the brand new "Silver Slugger" departure. Grand Slam departures from New York are scheduled for February 23, March 2 and March 15. All packages include hotel accommodations, rental car and game tickets. The packages include an exclusive pre-game brunch and a Meet and Greet with a Mets player.
