Mack’s Daily Minors Recap 8-26-2022 Games

8-26-2022 Games     -

AAA -

How do you spin a game where your hometown team gave up 11 runs in the 7th inning.

You don’t.

The Cuse lost 12-8 to Worchester (does this team ever play anyone other than Worcester?) at home.

Embarrassing.

Prospect stats:

1B Dom Smith - 2-4, R, .287

3B Mark Vientos - 1-4, 2-R, 2-RBI, .292

DH Daniel Palka - 0-4, R, .272

RHRP Bryce Montes de Oca - 0-IP, 3-ER, 0-K, 4.03

AA -

The B-Mets beat Reading, 3-1, at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Two of my favorite relievers did well this night.

Joe Zanghi gave up a hit and a run with one walk and three strikeouts.

Manny Alvarez closed the game out with a six out save giving up a hit while striking out three.

Prospect stats -

CF Jake Magnum - dnp

SS Ronny Mauricio - 1-5, .254

A+ -

The Clones beat Jersey Shore, 7-5

Jaylen Palmer’s team-leading 9th  home run of the season – a three run shot – provided the winning margin for the Cyclones.

Jose Peroza (.391 in August) added a 2-run homer in the 7th.

Eduardo Escobar made his second MLB Rehab Appearance with the Cyclones and went 0-for-3 as the Cyclones DH on Friday evening.

Prospect stats -

RF    Alex Ramirez 0-3, R, .263

RHSP  Christian Scott DNP

A -

Friday’s game between the St. Lucie Mets and Palm Beach Cardinals at Clover Park has been postponed due to wet grounds.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 4 p.m

Prospect stats -

CF Omar De Los Santos NG

RF Carlos Dominguez NG

C Kevin Parada NG

SP Blade Tidwell NG

No game today. Guess that playoff loss was a one and done.
