Tom Brennan - The Stats of My Top 25 Mets Prospects

What good is a player with bad stats?

Statistically, players with good stats have better stats than players with bad stats 100% of the time.  And are better than players with bad stats most of the time.

Anyway, what are the stats for my Top 25 Prospects, who (by the way) are all Superstars?

It was significantly highly likely that you'd ask, and a tremendously high correlation coefficient indicated I'd respond to your request. So...

Here goes (hitting and pitching stats thru Tuesday):

So, there you go - 25 superstars.  By the numbers.

As an aside, it is amazing that Omar De Los Santos is 6 years older than Jesus Baez, huh?  But then again, I'm 50 years older than Baez, but I am 13 years younger than Joan Baez, so there you go.

First rounder Jett Williams’ first 3 pro games? 3 for 9, 2 walks, FOUR steals.

No defensive stats listed above.  Some good, some not so good.  Perhaps a list for another day.

Anybody know why Mike Vasil has missed the past 6 weeks?

In the same article on SNY that had this list, was an interview with Tommy Taneous. The guys asked him about Allen and Taneous said that he may not be ready to throw competitively in September, but he will go to instructs. He is supposedly just tossing and building up. Of course, “he looks great”… did you expect anything else?

Gus, Allan will participate in Old Timers Day. So far, he makes Szpaucki look like a workhorse. Hopefully, he will be worth the wait.
