Mack’s Daily Minors Recap - Thursday's Games

8-25-2022 Games

                                                Harol Gonzalez

AAA -

This one is worth passing on. The highlights here is I won’t have to write much.

The Mets scattered four hits in a 9-1 loss to Worcester.

It might be time for SP Harol Gonzalez that he should begin to figure out what to do elsewhere for the remainder of his life. He just hasn’t healed from his past injuries.

Last night, Harol went four innings, giving up six runs, and running his ERA up to 21.94.

Prospect stats:

3B Mark Vientos - 1-4, .293

DH Daniel Palka - 0-4, .275

RHRP Bryce Montes de Oca - 1-IP, 0-R, 3-K

Luke Ritter - (PC - John Canary)

AA -

Have a game Luke Ritter!

The B-Mets beat Reading, 7-3, but the story of this game was a four run 6th inning and the night of Ritter.

He went 2-4, 2-R, 11th HR, 4-RBI, raising his seasonal BA to .220.

Carlos Cortes also was 2-4 and Ronny Mauricio has produced at least a hit in 10 of his last 11 games.

Prospect stats -

CF Jake Magnum 0-5, .284

SS Ronny Mauricio 2-5, R, .255

                                       Eduardo Escobar (PC: NYT)

A+ -

Rehabbing Mets third baseman, Eduardo Escobar, led the Cyclones to an 8-5 win over Jersey Shore.

Escobar went 2-for-4 and played seven innings at shortstop, helping turn two double plays. Escobar cracked two sharp singles into right field, driving in one run in the second inning and scoring another run in the sixth. His two flyouts were caught on the warning track.

Shervyen Newton homered in the 8th. It was his third home run in three games.

Prospect stats -

CF   Alex Ramirez 3-5, R .268

RHSP  Christian Scott 3.2-IP, 3-R, 5-K, 4.25

A -

Palm Beach beat St. Lucie yesterday, 11-5, in Clover Park.

The big news for Mets fans in this game was the rehab return of LHRP Joey Lucchesi. Joey has come back from TJS. This was his second rehab outing this season.

1-IP, 0-R, 2-K, only 14 pitches.

Prospect stats -

CF Omar De Los Santos 2-4, RBI, .266

A Jett in the outfield and Mangum PI to back him up and get him out of any trouble AND lets add a Beast in the bullpen pronto.
