Doyle, the 2008 Big South Player of the Year, is hitting .366 with 22 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 72 RBI for the Chanticleers. He is a finalist for the Johnny Bench Award and was on the All-Conway Regional and All-Big South Tournament Teams. Doyle was 5-for-14 with six runs scored, two doubles and seven RBI in the regional and had two hits and two RBI in the 24-11 win over East Carolina June 1. Doyle is a two-time Big South Player of the Week and was ranked the third-best catcher in the country by Rivals.com. On the year, Doyle has committed just three passed balls, has thrown out 12 runners trying to steal and picked off seven more on base. In the Big South, he hit .342 with seven home runs.

2007: Was named to the All-Myrtle Beach Regional Team after hitting .400 with three runs, three runs-batted-in and one home run in four games... Was 3-for-5 against Clemson June 3 and drove in two runs against St. John’s the same day... Appeared in 44 games for Coastal with 37 starts...
