Tulane senior first baseman Sam Honeck and freshman catcher Jeremy Schaffer have been named to the All-Conference USA first team. Honeck and Prince are tied for the team lead in batting average at .342. Honeck is the league leader in RBI with 69, is third in home runs with 16 and second in slugging percentage at .668.

2008:Played in 60 games as a junior, including 58 starts at first base...ranks third on the team in home runs (seven) and RBI (43), and fifth in hits (56), and total bases (93)...hit .275 for the season, but that mark jumps to .320 in Conference USA play...has 13 multiple-hit games, including three-hit performances against Oakland (March 15) and at Houston (April 13)...ranks fourth on the club with 11 multiple-RBI contests, including four-RBI outings vs. Southern (March 5) and Oakland (March 15)...had a team-best 19-game hitting streak from April 2-May 3 when he hit .419 (26-for-62) with eight doubles, four home runs and 16 RBI...named to the 2008 Dairy Queen Classic All-Tournament Team after hitting .400 (4-for-10) with a double and an RBI.
